Here are a few thumbnails of pics I took on a rainforest walk recently, click on the thumbnails for an enlarged, higher quality image. The originals are too large in file size for the web but I can send them if your email will accept files of about 1.4 - 1.7 Mb.

It was nice to see the wattles flowering for my first spring back in Aus. for 18 years. This pic. was somewhere on top of a mountain in the national forest, couldn't find myself on a map at that stage.

The rainforest down along
the upper reaches of
Mungay Creek gets pretty
thick in places. I call it down
because it took 45 minutes
to descend to it and then
three hours to get back up
via Colambatti.
This 4 foot long goanna wasn't
too pleased to see me at all.
He ran straight up a tree,
giving me a bit of a fright as
he scuttled out of some
bushes beside where I was
walking.
Yet another shy local denizen in
the form of this echidna, actually
he wasn't too scared just pulled
his nose in every time I tried to
photograph. Camera shy I guess.
This photo was taken near Baker's
Creek Station, not far from where I
began my forest walk. The background
ridge rises to the right, out of frame
and ends up at colambatti trig point.
